1About the App

Clovio is a personal finance application that runs entirely on your device. It helps you track spending, manage budgets and savings goals, and plan debt repayment. It does this using on-device parsing of SMS messages on Android, voice input and manual entry, with categorisation and insights produced by a rule-based engine that is built into the App.

Clovio is a tool to help you organise your own financial information. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Any decision you make using the App is your own responsibility.

2No Account and No Server

Clovio has no sign-in and no user account. The App opens directly and is protected by your device's biometric or PIN app lock.

Clovio is a standalone application. We operate no backend server. Your financial data, transactions, merchant names, categories, identifiers and usage information remain on your device and are not uploaded to us or to any third party. The App functions fully offline. The only network connection involved in your use of Clovio is the connection operated by Apple or Google to process purchases, as described in Section 6.

3Your Data

All of your data is stored locally on your device and is encrypted at rest. Because we operate no server, we have no access to that data and we cannot recover, restore, view, export or delete it for you.

You are responsible for safeguarding your device and for keeping your own backups. If you lose, reset or uninstall your device or the App without a backup, your data may be permanently lost. Clovio provides CSV export on the free tier and local encrypted backup and restore on the Pro tier so that you can keep your own copies. Our handling of data is described further in our Privacy Policy.

4Device Permissions

To provide its features, the App may ask for certain device permissions.

On Android, the App may request access to SMS in order to read transaction alerts from your bank and detect expenses automatically. This content is processed only on your device and is never transmitted off the device. On iOS, SMS access is not available, and you add data through manual or voice entry. The App may request microphone access for voice entry of transactions, notification access for local reminders and alerts, and biometric access for the app lock.

You may grant or refuse these permissions through your device settings. Refusing a permission may disable the related feature, but it will not otherwise prevent you from using the App.

5Free and Pro Tiers

Clovio is free to use, and certain Pro features are available for purchase. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

6Purchases, Billing and Refunds

Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, and it is sold only through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Lyumen Labs does not receive or store your payment information. All billing, currency conversion, taxes and payment processing are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your store account and will keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid for. All purchases are final and are non-refundable from Lyumen Labs. Any refund is governed solely by the relevant store's policy and is granted at that store's discretion.

7Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent that this restriction is prohibited by law. You agree that you will not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable financial, export or sanctions law, that you will not attempt to circumvent purchase, entitlement or licensing controls, and that you will not resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the App.

8Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, its design and branding, and the names “Clovio” and “Lyumen Labs”, is owned by Lyumen Labs and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App for your own personal use, subject to these Terms and to the terms of the store from which you obtained it. The financial data that you enter or import remains yours.

9Disclaimers

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

Automatic parsing and categorisation of SMS messages, voice input and rule-based insights may be incomplete or inaccurate, and you are responsible for reviewing and correcting your records. The insights and Debt Killer outputs produced by the App are estimates intended only as guidance and are not a guarantee of any financial outcome. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be compatible with every device or operating-system version.

10Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lyumen Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of data, profit or financial outcome, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the App, including loss resulting from inaccurate parsing, from lost or unrecoverable on-device data, or from reliance on the App's insights. To the extent that any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount that you actually paid to the relevant store for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end your access where permitted, for example if you breach these Terms or applicable law. The provisions that by their nature should continue to apply after termination, including those concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, will survive.

12Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top shows the current version. Where the changes are material, we will make them available within the App or on lyumenlabs.com. If you continue to use the App after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

13Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and you agree that the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store from which you obtained it.
